ITEC Beauty Specialist International Diploma
This is a very popular course an essential for anyone wanting to work within the beauty profession at Level 2. The course content allows you to, offer a range of treatments for your client & allows you to be artistically creative. You can progress on to other qualifications or specialities, such as Holistic Therapies, Hopi Ear Candling or Nail Technician. The course is separated into 5 certificates, which you can choose to study separately.
Certificates taken
Skin Care / Eye Treatments Certificate
Cleansing, exfoliation, facial neck & shoulder massage. Face masks. vapour therapy, comedone extraction, specialist masques & hot compresses, plus brush cleansing.
Lash / brow tinting & false lashes
Eyebrow shapes and measuring. Safe application and use of tints for differing hair tones.
Please note this is a double value unit (100 hrs).
Manicure/Pedicure Certificate
Care of the hands & feet. Nail & surrounding tissue care, nail shaping, conditioning and painting plus specialist treatments, nail painting techniques.
Waxing Certificate
Wax chemistry, waxing equipment, application and removal of different waxes and sugar (hot and cool) plus specialist waxing systems.
Make-up Certificate
Face shapes, make-up types & Make-up application for different occasions including bridal, day, evening, special occasion and creative. This also covers how to recognise skin types, skin cleansing plus cosmetic chemistry.

Recommendations
We recommend, but it is not essential, that you have five GCSEs at grade A+ - C prior to commencement, however exemptions may be applicable to mature students.
Examination
1 x 1hr MCQ paper per unit ( external) + case studies 5 per unit (project for the business unit).
