ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage

Massage, a wonderful treatment to perform and receive. Holistic Massage therapists who are highly knowledgeable and skilled can offer both physiological & psychological comfort to those they treat. There are many employment options open to therapist, from Spa's, complementary therapy clinics and beauty salons to work within health and social care settings. This treatment is extremely useful to those suffering from high 'stress' levels and therefore in today's society is a very valuable treatment to offer your clients.

Subjects studied

You will consider the different physical and social factors affecting people in everyday life and learn to conduct a professional consultation. After learning the techniques of massage you will practice and adapt your treatment to suit the individual whilst working within a safe, hygienic and professional manner.

Importantly you will learn about diseases and conditions, how they affect a person and when not to treat.

If you are particularly interested in working within a health or social care setting, we strongly recommend the additional 1 day course 'Introduction to Medical Terminology', which will assist you in communicating with medical professionals.
